Follow-Up Care & Warranty Policy
Find Out MoreAt Microprism Vision, our approach focuses on supporting visual system balance, sensory integration, and overall coherence through the framework of Quantum Photo-Somatics (QPS).
QPS differs from traditional optometry and does not function as a standard optometric service. QPS sessions and Quantum Focussing Agents (QFA’s) are provided within the framework of a complementary modality focused on visual perception, sensory integration, posture, movement, and overall coherence rather than ophthalmic diagnosis or prescription.
QFA’s form part of an ongoing integrative process rather than a conventional corrective prescription. Achieving optimal outcomes involves appropriate integration, follow-up support, and ongoing communication as the visual system adapts over time.
1. Understanding QFA’s & the Adaptation Process
QFA’s are designed to support the relationship between the eyes, brain, body, and sensory systems within the QPS framework.
Because each individual responds differently, experiences and outcomes may vary from person to person. Changes in lens configuration over time are a normal part of the adaptation and integration process and may reflect changes in how the visual system is responding.
Temporary fluctuations in clarity, comfort, awareness, or perception may occur during periods of adaptation.
2. Integration & Early Adaptation
Once QFA’s are prepared, we strongly recommend attending an Integration Session within 2 weeks of being notified that they are ready for collection. This helps ensure that the lens configuration remains aligned with the conditions under which it was originally evaluated.
Delaying integration for extended periods may affect the adaptation process and may limit our ability to provide support within the warranty period.
During the early stages of integration, it is common for the visual system and broader sensory experience to go through a period of adjustment as the brain and body adapt to new input.
3. Warranty & Adjustments
QFA’s are covered by a 4-week warranty period following integration.
During this period, we encourage participants to maintain communication with the clinic so that any concerns can be addressed promptly.
The warranty covers:
- manufacturing defects
- material or coating faults
- measurement or fitting issues
- significant adaptation difficulties identified during follow-up support
Where appropriate within the QPS process, lenses may be adjusted or remade during this period.
If concerns arise during the warranty period, you may be booked for an additional Integration Session with a member of the Microprism Vision team to reassess and optimise the lens configuration at no additional cost. Minor frame adjustments to support comfort and integration may also be completed during this period.
Extended Adjustments & Subsequent Remakes
In some cases, multiple adjustments or remakes may be recommended as part of the ongoing adaptation process, particularly where genuine changes in visual comfort, perception, or lens requirements are occurring over time.
The initial warranty remake is provided at no cost within the 4-week warranty period.
Where further remakes are recommended within a new warranty period initiated after the initial warranty remake, and are considered appropriate as part of continued optimisation within the QPS process (rather than due to manufacturing faults, fitting issues, or measurement errors), subsequent lenses may be offered at a reduced rate of 30% off the standard lens price.
Where a separate issue arises within the warranty period — such as a manufacturing fault, fitting issue, or measurement concern — this will continue to be covered under the warranty at no additional cost.
4. Adaptation Period & Follow-Up Support
Following the warranty period, the visual system may continue adapting over a period of approximately 6–18 weeks.
During this time, it is common for changes in clarity, comfort, awareness, or perception to occur as the system continues integrating new visual input.
Because QPS works with the visual system as part of a broader integrative process, some participants may notice changes in areas beyond visual clarity alone.
Experiences Some Participants Report During Adaptation
- changes in visual ease or comfort
- reduced visual strain or fatigue
- changes in posture or body awareness
- changes in light sensitivity
- shifts in energy, awareness, or daily comfort
- changes in confidence or ease during visual tasks
Common Adaptation Experiences
Some temporary experiences may occur as the system adjusts, including:
- fluctuating clarity or perception
- mild tension or heaviness
- shifts in awareness or sensory experience
- temporary discomfort or mild stress
- emotional or physical release
These experiences are generally temporary and part of the broader adaptation process.
To support optimal integration, we generally recommend follow-up consultations every 3 months, and no later than 6 months after integration.
Additional integration sessions or support recommendations may be suggested where appropriate.
5. Participant Responsibilities
To support optimal outcomes with QFA’s, participants are expected to:
- Attend an Integration Session within 2 weeks of lenses being ready
- Wear QFA’s consistently as recommended during consultation
- Communicate any concerns during the 4-week warranty period
- Attend recommended follow-up consultations or integration support sessions where appropriate
While Microprism Vision provides guidance and support throughout the process, outcomes may be limited where integration sessions or follow-up support are not completed.
Failure to follow QPS recommendations — including inconsistent lens wear, delayed integration, failure to disclose relevant information, or non-attendance at follow-up sessions — may:
- limit outcomes
- affect the adaptation process
- reduce the effectiveness of the lens configuration
- impact eligibility for warranty support, adjustments, or remakes
6. Refunds & Limitations
Microprism Vision operates in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds are not provided for:
- change of mind
• dissatisfaction based on subjective experience where no fault is identified
• failure to follow QPS recommendations
• failure to disclose relevant information
• variation in experiences or outcomes inherent to the adaptation process
Because QFA’s are customised within the QPS framework, refunds are not applicable once lenses have been made and fitted, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
If QFA’s are not integrated within 4 weeks of notification that they are ready, the warranty may be void.
Any follow-up consultations, reassessments, adjustments, or remakes required after this time may incur additional costs.
After three (3) months from the date lenses are produced, refunds or remakes are not applicable except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
Consultation, assessment, and integration session fees are non-refundable.
Where changes in lens configuration occur over time as part of the adaptation process, this does not indicate a fault in the original lenses.
Where a new lens configuration is identified following the warranty period, new lenses may be required and may incur additional cost. Reduced rates may be offered where appropriate as part of ongoing care.
7. Consistency of Care
QPS is a specialised integrative approach that works with the visual system as part of a broader sensory and perceptual process.
To support the best possible outcomes, and to allow us to accurately understand and support your adaptation process, we recommend maintaining consistency in the approach being used throughout your care and wearing your QFA’s as recommended during the early integration period.
Alternating between QFA’s and other active lens configurations or visual approaches without discussion may interfere with the integration process and make it more difficult to accurately understand how the visual system is responding.
Second opinions are always welcome, and we support participants in feeling informed and confident in their care.
Where multiple lens approaches or therapeutic processes are being used simultaneously, particularly without our knowledge, our ability to accurately assess adaptation and provide support under the warranty may be limited.
8. Referral & External Review
In some cases, based on participant presentation or observed concerns, we may recommend further assessment with an appropriate healthcare provider such as an optometrist, ophthalmologist, GP, or other relevant practitioner before commencing or continuing QPS services.
This recommendation is intended to support participant wellbeing and ensure any underlying ocular, neurological, or systemic considerations are appropriately understood and managed.
Participants, and in the case of children their parents or guardians, retain the right to decide whether or not to pursue external recommendations. However, where additional assessment has been advised, commencement or continuation of certain QPS services may be delayed until sufficient information has been received.
9. Commitment to Care
Our team is committed to supporting participants throughout the integration and adaptation process.
Ongoing communication, reassessment, and appropriate support form an important part of the QPS process.
Because the visual system adapts over time, continued follow-up care allows us to monitor progress and refine lens configurations where appropriate.
10. Scope & Limitation of Liability
QPS is a complementary integrative modality designed to support functional vision, sensory integration, and overall visual system balance.
Experiences and outcomes vary between individuals.
Microprism Vision and its practitioners are not liable for matters unrelated to the QPS process, including underlying medical conditions, unrelated ocular concerns, or outcomes beyond the scope of services provided.
11. Informed Consent & Acknowledgement

- QPS is an integrative process with variable experiences and outcomes
- You have read and understood this policy
- You have had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the QPS process and your care
